Last weekend went to Palm Springs to see our friend Chic.
Chic is Suzannes best friend who lives in Oregon but also has a has beautiful house in Palm Springs. It is a 2 hour drive from our place in LA, if you don't hit the traffic. Palm Springs is a big destination for LA folks on the weekends. Sort of like the Hampton's for New Yorkers.

We meet up with friends at the Tram which takes you two 1/2 miles up to the top. There you arrive at Mount San Jacinto State Park, which has 54 miles of hiking trails. In the winter the park in covered in snow and you can go cross country skiing and snow shoeing. it was about 6o degrees the day we went. Perfect hiking weather. We did a 4 miles hike. then rewarded ourselves with linch and a cold beer.

Weather in Palm Springs was about 9o. Big difference. We are looking forward to doing some snowshoeing this winter.
